Captain's Log, Stardate 2665.031 (Supplemental)

It has taken almost half a year, but we have finally delivered the last fighter squadron to the outposts along the Kzinti frontier. I won’t say this is the worst duty I have had as a ship captain, but it has certainly been the dullest. A year of convoy duty and ferrying crated fighters all over the Exploration Zone isn’t what I had in mind when I accepted command of the Naruebet.

Commodore Murorua was hoping the Naruebet would be assigned to 3rd Fleet, since we are already here, instead, Starfleet has assigned the Draco and her escorts to the 31st CVGB and named Murorua as the Battle Group’s commander.

To compound our disappointment, we have received orders to make best speed to Starbase 3. At first, the crew was concerned about being sent to the bone yard, but we are to pick up the 5101st Torpedo Squadron and the 5102 Pursuit Squadron at Starbase 4. If we are lucky, perhaps we’ll be assigned to the OPFOR.

I certainly hope we won’t be stuck with convoy duty for the rest of my command.
